Foreign liquor worth Rs 1.5 cr seized in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur : Police and Excise department officials on January 29 evening seized foreign liquor worth Rs 1.5 crore from  truck parked near a line hotel under Benibad police outpost in Muzaffarpur district. The driver and Khalasi of the truck were forwarded to judicial custody on January 30.

Police on January 30 lodged an FIR against the owner of the truck Kapil of Meerut besides its driver and khalasi. Excise Superintendent, Muzaffarpur, Amit  Kumar said that the truck was coming from Darbhanga and was seized on way to Darbhanga. The driver gave the name of a liquor dealer of Darbhanga. Police are conducting raids to arrest the Darbhanga liquor dealer.
