Bagaha : Hundreds of flood affected men and women in Jimari -Nautanawa  panchayat (Ward N0 13) under Bagaha-2 Block in West Champaran district staged demonstration before the office of SDM, Bagaha, Vijay Prakash Meena, on July 17, 2019, demanding ration from PDS dealer of the Panchayat.

Premlal  Rao, Mahath Sao, Brajesh Rao, Mukesh Kumar, and others said that the rain water and flood in hilly rivers had ravaged the area rendering them jobless and they were facing starvation like situation with their children as the PDS dealer of the panchayat has failed to provide them ration for the last two months and had allegedly sold their ration quota in black market. The SDM was not  available at the office hence they handed over their complaint to the Supply Officer urging him to enquire into the matter and provide foodgrains to them for their  survival..
