Five smugglers arrested with 330 gm Heroin

Bagaha: Five smugglers were arrested with 330 gram of contraband Heroin in two separate raids in Bagaha in sub-division in West Champaran district. In the first raid conducted at  rally bazaar under Ramnagar police station on December 25, three smugglers were arrested with 190 grams of Heroin. In another raid, 140 gram Heroin was seized from the possession of two  smugglers in Bettiah town.. The value of seized Heroin is worth Rs 30 lakh in international market.
Bagaha SP Shankar Jha said on December 26 said that three smugglers: Sanjay Rai, Chhotil Prasad and Daulat Ansari were arrested with 190 gram Heroin  from rally bazar under Ramnagar police station while two others Narain Sao and Aslam Ansari were arrested from Bettiah town with 140 gram Heroin on confessional statement of those arrested from rally bazaar under Ramnagar police station. The SP said that Aslam hails from Raxaul and is said to be the kingpin of the gang.
