Bettiah : Five migrant labourers of West Chanparan District in North Bihar tested positive to Coronavirus (COVID-19) on April 29, 2020.The doctors are looking into their infection trail. The five patients are in 27-40 year age group.

All the five persons belong to Sanichari under Yogapatti  block in West Champaran and have been shifted to Isolation Centre at Yogapatti, which has been made a containment zone. Sanichari is a police station under Yogapatti Block. All shops in the area have been closed by administration.

West Champaran DM Kundan Kumar said that lockdown restrictions including social distancing are being maintained in the district. All the five migrant  labourers had returned from Delhi  on April 25, 2020, and were quarantined at a centre at Yogapatti and their samples were sent for test.

East Champaran District had also reported five confirmed cases of Coronavirus recently. All the five patients were admitted to Isolation Centre at Motihari.
