Muzaffarpur: Muzaffarpur Civil Surgeon (CS) has alerted incharges of all Primary health centre (PHCs) after detection of five Dengue and one Chikungunya case in the district. He has asked them to inform the health department about detection every new patient of Dengue and Chikungunya under their jurisdiction.

The CS confirmed detection of five Dengue patients in the district and said they were undergoing treatment at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur. The Chikungunya patient, who hails from Parua area in the district, is being treated at Patna Medical College and Hosptal (PMCH).  According to Muzaffarpur DM, all  Asha workers, Anganwadi Sevikas, ANMs and medical officers have been alerted and arrangements were being made for fogging in different parts of the district.
