Patna : Principal Secretary to Bihar Governor cum Chancellor of Universities R K Mahajan on June 4, 2019, said that FIRs will be lodged against colleges admitting students without getting affiliation from the State Government. He said that the Governor’s Secretariat would also take stern action taken against officials of the universities concerned found conniving with such non-affiliated colleges.

Mahajan, following directive of the Governor Lalji Tandon, reviewed the functioning of Magadh University (MU), Bodh Gaya, Veer Kuar Singh University (VKSU), Ara, and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Muzaffarpur, at Raj Bhavan on June 4. The VCs, Registrars, and Examination Controllers of the three universities attended the meeting.

Mahajn said that the students admitted by the non-affiliated colleges falling under the three universities would be shifted to nearest Constituent Colleges. If the nearest Constituent Colleges is not able to admit such students, they would be admitted to the nearest Affiliated College, Mahajan said adding that the Government will pay the admission fee of such students.
