Firing at Baria Bus Stand, Muzaffarpur, two killed

Muzaffarpur : Police using Automat Kalashnikova (AK 47) Rifle killed a notorious criminal in an encounter at Baria Bus Stand, Muzaffarpur, on February 1, 2019, afternoon, after a gang of unidentified criminals fired indiscriminately on Baria Bus Stand contractor Kundan Singh, a resident of village Kolhua under Ahiyapur police station in Muzaffarpur district, injuring him seriously the same day.

Kundan Singh was rushed to a private hospital at Baria where the doctors referred him to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) in view of his critical condition. But, Kundan Singh died while being taken to PMCH. Kundan Singh was hit by 4 bullets. Kundan Singh’s supporters too returned the fire on the rival gang.

Police force reached Baria Bus Stand soon after getting information about firing there. Seeing police, one of the criminals entered into a bus and started firing on police from there. In retaliation, police fired on the criminal from AK 47 rifle killing him on the spot. About 35 rounds were fired from both the side during encounter. The criminals had attacked Kundan Singh in a battle of supremacy. Police confirmed having resorted to firing from AK 47. Police seized from the bag of the slain criminal.
