Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : With a view to making the students aware of dangers posed by Fire and advantage of Road safety, a series of live demonstration was conducted by the Fire Services Department, Bokaro Steel Plant, and Traffic Police on DPS Bokaro school campus on March 9, 2019.
Madan Mohan Prasad Sinha, Deputy Superintendent (Traffic), along with his team members talked about Road Safety highlighting importance of speed limits, avoiding use mobile phone while driving, avoiding triple riding, wearing helmet and using Safety Belts, and no alcohol etc. He also demonstrated various traffic symbols and gave tips as well to the students.
Kumar Rajnish, Manager, Fire Services, Bokaro Steel Plant, along with other officials informed the students about different types of fire and their causes. He gave a live demonstration showing how to use various kinds of fire extinguishers to extinguish the fire. He also made an interesting presentation on Disaster Management and Fire Safety. Awareness regarding evacuation was also generated by the officers. The officials also answered to the queries of the students.
Director & Principal, DPS, Bokaro, Dr Hemlata S Mohan, in her message, said that the school is very particular about students safety and stressed on the need of such awareness programmes for making the students alert. During the programme, the students were informed about the emergency helpline numbers.
