FIR lodged against 2 persons including AMC War Councillor in murder case

Ara : A named FIR was lodged with Ara Town police station on September 25, 2019, evening, against two persons including Councillor, Ward No 31, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC), Munnu Lal alias Himanshu Kumar Sinha of Bhaluhipur area under Ara Town police station, in connection with murder of a student and injury to another on September 25, 2019 evening. After institution of FIR, police are conducting raids to arrest the named accused. Police seized 19 live cartridges from the house of the Ward Councillor.

Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar said that an Intermediate student Vishal Kumar, son of Ram Kumar Singh of Bakhorapur village under Barhara police station who lived at Gausganj under Ara Town police station, along with his friend, had gone to Bhaluhipur to attend a ceremony at the house of one of his friends in Bhaluhipur locality under Ara Town police station on September 24, 2019.

While returning home, Vishal Kumar and his friend Mukesh Yadav of Bhaluhipur, stayed for a while behind the house of the Ward Councillor Munnu Lal for smoking. Munnu Lal forced them to leave the place at once that led to scuffle between the students and the Ward Councilor. Later, the Ward Councillor and his aide allegedly shot dead Vishal Kumar and shot at and injured Mukesh Yadav.

The SP said that a named FIR was lodged on the statement of injured student Mukesh Yadav. He said that the named accused would be arrested at any cost and he would write to Bhojpur DM for cancellation of arms license of Ward Councillor.
