Patna : Four separate FIRs have been lodged with Buddha Colony police station, Patna, in connection with violence and arson at New Policelines, Lodipur, on November 3, 2018. Altogether 167 trainee constables including women have been made named accused in FIRs charging them with assault, damaging policelines property, and attempt to murder.
SHO, Buddha Colony police station, Manoj Mohan said that the first FIR has been lodged based on the statement of DSP, Policelines, second FIR based on his own (SHO) statement, third based on statement of SHO, Pirbahore PS, and fourth on the statement of a passerby Sunil Kumar for damaging a four- wheeler.
It may be mentioned here that trainee constables at policemen resorted to violent civil disobedience after death of a female trainee constablet here. Several senior police officers were manhandled by the cops. Police sources revealed that a CCTV camera was installed at a temple close to New Policelines and pictures of violence was recorded in it. Based on the footages, all the culprits were identified. Zonal IG NH Khan has been entrusted with task probing into the incident.
