FIR lodged 25 named, 1,000 unnamed persons for damaging govt property at Buxar

Buxar : An FIR was lodged with Buxar Muffassil police station against 25 named and 1,000 unnamed persons on February 26, 2018, night, for damaging government property and burning of police picket on February 26 afternoon. Police have also taken six persons under their custody for interrogation.

Buxar police administration has sounded security alert at all vantage points and the railway station till the end of the matriculation examination. Police force has been deployed at all the important and vulnerable points in Buxar.

Matriculation examinees demanding cancellation of Mathematics paper went on rampage and set ablaze Buxar Muffassil police station and some vehicles parked there on February 26. They also damaged the GRP and RPF police station, Booking Counters, Station Master cabin, inquiry counter at Buxar railway station under Danapur division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, and threw all the goods of the police stations on the railway track paralysing movement of trains on Up and Down lines for about three hours. The situation was brought under control after the arrival of the Buxat DM and  SP.

The matriculation examinees were upset with the Mathematics paper questions on February 26, and after the examination claimed that the questions asked were out of the syllabus and demanded cancellation of the math exam.
