After nearly month long lockdown and subsequent partial relaxation in restrictions, some jubilant town residents came out on the streets but police and district administration again sent them back to their houses.
The District Administration had announced several times on public address system requesting the people to stay inside their houses. The Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) KumarĀ Gaurav and ASDM Rochana Madri inspected many places to ensure the people were maintaining social distance.
But several shopkeepers started analysing the relaxations in lockdown restrictions that caused some confusion but the timely action by district administration forced the business establishments to down their shutters.
