Federer, Tsitsipas, Basilashvili, Monfils enter QFs of Dubai Tennis Championship

Patna : World No 7 and 2nd seed Roger Federer, 37, Switzerland, World No 11 Stefanos Tsitsipas, 20, Greece, World No 19 Nikoloz Basilashvili, 26, Georgia, and World No 23 Gael Monfils, 32, France, have their respective Round of 16 matches on February 27, 2019, to enter the quarter-finals of Dubai Tennis Championship, an ATP World Tour 500 points tournament played on hard court, at Dubai, UAE.

Federer beat World No 32 Fernando Verdasco, 35, Spain, in three-sets 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the Round of 16 in 1 hr 34 minutes. Federer fired 10 Aces in the match to 3 by Verdasco. Federer broke Verdasco’s service twice in the match while the latter broke his service once. Ferdasco committed 4 double faults to 2 by Federer.
