Federer, Raonic, Pouille enter SFs of Stuttgart Open

Patna : World No 2 in ATP rankings and top seed Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, World No 17 Lucas Pouille, 24, France, and World No 35 Milos Raonic, 27, Canada, entered the semi-finals of Stuttgart Open, an ATP 250 Grass Court event in Germany, on June 15, 2018.

Federer defeated World No 75 Guido Pella, 28, Argentina, 6-4, 6-4, in the quarter-finals. Pella fired 6 Aces to Federer’s 4 in the match. But, Federer’s winning percentage on both first and second serve was much better than that Pella.

Raonic upset World No 19 Tomas Berdych, 32, Czech Republic, 7-6, 7-6, in a very tough contest. Raonic fired 22 Aces in the match to 9 by Berdych.

Lucas Pouille beat World No 100 Denis Istomin, 31, Uzbekistan, in a three set thriller 6-4, 6-7, 6-3, in the quarter-finals. Pouille fired 20 Aces in the match to 7 by Istomin. Pouille will play Raonic in the semi-finals.
