Saharsa : Ghucho Yadav, 45, was shot dead allegedly by a close relative at Bishanpur under Bihra police station in Saharsa district on March 12, 2017, when he was sleeping at the courtyard of his house.

Ghocho had, earlier in the day, intervened when his two cousins Kari Yadav and Sudhir Yadav had violent clash over a trifle. This infuriated Sudhir who had threatened Ghocho with dire consequence on March 12 evening. Since a DJ was playing on in the neighbourhood, no body could hear the sound of firing on March 12 night. His murder was detected on March 13 morning when a family member went to give him tea. He was shot in his temple. He was rushed to Saharsa Sadar hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

Ghocho’s son has lodged an FIR against six named accused in connection with murder of his father with Bihra police station. Police arrested one of the named accused Parmeshwar Yadav on March 13. Kin of the deceased said that initially the wives of Kari and Sudhir quarrelled over a goat grazing in a plot where cauliflower was grown but soon the two brothers had a violent clash.  SHO, Bihra police station, Mohammad Sarwar Alam said all the remaining accused would be arrested soon.
