Farmer shot dead at Patna village

Patna : A farmer of village Patut under Ranitalab police station in Patna district Kamlesh Kumar alias Jaal Singh, around 40, was shot dead at his house by some bike borne criminals at 3.30 am on September 21, 2017. The criminals escaped unchalleged. One of the bullets hit Kamlesh in the head. Police suspect that Kamlesh Kumar was probably killed due to some dispute in land deal as he was also a middleman. Patut village is 3 km away from Ranitalab police station.

SHO, Ranitalab police station, Mukesh Sharma, said that police were yet to arrest the assailants though they were investigating into the incident from different angles. The SHO said that the villagers heard sound of  firing twice.

It may be mentioned here that a Cinema Hall owner Nirbhay Singh was shot dead by criminals on September 15 at Bihta under Bihta police station in Patna district.
