Ara : Some unidentified criminals killed a farmer Joginder Paswan, 40, of village Aanar under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district by slitting his throat between Aanar and Jamuaw villages under Bihia police station on June 9, 2017, afternoon .

The villagers blocked Ara -Bihia main road for about three hours with the body. They were demanding immediate arrest of the miscreants. The blockade was lifted after positive assurance from the officials. Late, police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Dispute over some financial matter is said to be cause behind the incident. An FIR has been lodged with  Bihia police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Bihia police station, said that Joginder Paswan, son of Kishun Paswan, was going to market on his bicycle. When he was between Aanar and Jamuaw villages, a youth with the help of his associate intercepted him and demanded money from him. When Joginder refused, he slit his throat and escaped.
