Ara : A middleage farmer was stoned to death at village Bahiara under Chandi police station (PS) in Bhojpur District. Police recovered the body on July 15, 2021, morning, from his field and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
The deceased was identified as Haridwar Paswan, 58, son of late Mahavir Paswan of Bahiara village. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Chandi PS in this connection and police are investigating the matter.
SHO, ChandiPS,said that Haridwar Paswan along with his nephew Sunil Kumar had gone to the field at the village to sprinkle pesticides on vegetables on July 13, 2021. In the afternoon, Sunil Kumar returned home while Haridwar Paswan stayed in the field to take rest under a mango tree there. After that Haridwar Paswan was not seen. His family members searched for him everywhere but in vain. On July 15 morning, police recovered the body from his field. The SHO said that someone stoned him to death and also poured hot water on the body.
