Fancy Dress competition at DPS Chas

Chas ( Jharkhand) : DPS Chas in Bokaro district in Jharkhand organised a Fancy Dress competition on the school campus on December 27, 2018. The show began with the encouraging words from Principal Incharge Rashmi Sinha, who greeted all the children and parents. She hoped that the competition would prove to be a great learning experience for the students and give them a platform to showcase their talent. Delhi Public School gives equal importance to both scholastic and co-scholastic activities for the all round development of its students.

The theme of the competition was Nature, famous personalities and characters from story books. The children came dressed up in colourful costumes and spoke a few sentences on the character they depicted with confidence and enthusiasm. Characters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mother Teresa, Arvind Kejriwal, Fire, Mountain, Star, Sun, Flower, Chhatrapati Shivaji, Chandrashekhar Azad, Jawaharlal Nehru, M S Dhoni, Kapil Sharma, Cinderella, Aladdin, Red Riding Hood, Ginny Weasley, Chota Bheem, Bharatmata, Fairies, Graceful Peacock, Confident Inspector and many more were all seen on the stage.

The panel of judges: Bhawna from DAV, Sec 6, Shobna Parmar from DPS, Bokaro, and Ranjit from GGPS, Chas, had a tough time in deciding the winners.

Praising the students, the Chief guest of the event Dr  Hemlata S Mohan, Director & Principal, DPS Bokaro and Chairperson, Centre for Cultural Resources & Training, urged the parents to take up the responsibility for grooming and shaping all round development of their child. She stated that the objective of staging this competition was fulfilled as the children came out winners overcoming their stage fear and bringing out their inner talent. Later, certificates were distributed to all the winners.
