Buxar : The family members and acquaintances of a boy Satyam Kumar, 9, who died at the Buxar Sadar Hospital during treatment on November 17, 2017, went on rampage at the hospital and staged demonstration in front of the office of the Civil Surgeon holding the doctors responsible for the death of the minor. Sensing the mood of the protesters, the doctors, nurses and other employees of the hospital fled away from the hospital.
The Civil Surgeon (CS) formed a team to inquire into the death of the minor and directed it to submit its report within 24 hours. The CS said that stern action would be taken against the erring employees and the doctors if they were held guilty in the report.
Satyam Kumar, son of Santosh Sah of village Niaaw in Buxar district, was playing in the field in the morning on November 17 when a poisonous insect bit him. The family members immediately rushed him to Buxar Sadar Hospital where he died during treatment.
