Bettiah : West Champaran police on February 2, 2019, seized fake currency notes of the face value of Rs 4 lakh from Kotwali Chowk, Bettiah, and arrested one of the racketeers Zulaqar Sekh belonging to West Bengal. He was sent to Bettiah jail after interrogation. on February 3, 2019.
SP, West Champaran, Jayant Kant, on a tip off, on February 2 told SDPO, Bettiah, Pankaj Rawat, that a gang of countefeit currency notes racketeers had entered Bettiah town. SDPO Rawat along with Town police station SHO Nityanand Chauhan immediately carried out raids at different places and arrested one of the racketeers Zulaqar Sekh of West Bengal from Kotwali Chowk with 200 fake currency notes of the face value of Rs 2,000 each.
