Fagu Chauhan sworn-in as Bihar Governor

Patna : Six -term MLA from Uttar Pradesh (UP) Fagu Chauhan, 71, was sworn-in as the 40th Governor of Bihar at Rajendra Mandap, Raj Bhavan, at 11.30 am on July 29, 2019. He was administered the oath of office by Chief Justice of Patna High Court Amreshwar Pratap Shahi.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, Speaker, Bihar legislative assembly, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, several Members of state cabinet, Leader o Opposition in Bihar legislatice council Rabri Devi,  were prominent among those present on the occasion. Bihar Governor’s wife Murahi Devi was also present.

Governor Fagu Chauhan, who was born at village Shehupura, Azamgarh, UP,  has three sons and four daughters.
