Ara : Senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis on September 12, 2020, trashed RJD Chief Lalu Prasad’s relevance in Bihar Assembly polls saying it makes no difference whether he is out on bail or in jail. Lalu’s bail petition in Fodder Scam case is pending before the court, he added.

Making light of RJD Chief”s relevance in Bihar politics, Fadnavis while speaking to mediapersons at Ara said that people have seen Lalu Prasad’s ‘Jungle Raj’ in Bihar and are disillusioned with him as well as his son Tejaswai Yadav, the chief ministerial candidate of the Grand Alliance. “The RJD has become history,” Fadnavis said, who visited Ara to review the BJP’s preparations for the Bihar Assembly polls. He was accompanied by Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey.

When asked about former Union Minister Raghuwnash Prasad Singh’s resignation from the RJD, Fadnavis said the former is a senior leader of Bihar and if he joins the BJP, the party would welcome him. He further said that Uddahv Thackeray government in Maharashtra is working in a whimsical manner and was on decline. He stated that Maharashtra is becoming Kashmir as the incidents happening there had made the people apprehensive. Fadnavis, however, refused to comment of former Bihar chief Minister Jeetan Ram Manjhi saying he was now part of the NDA.

fadnavis said that the BJP, JD(U), and the LJP will have talk and the senior leaders of these parties were in constant touch with one another and added no constituent would leave the NDA. He declared that the NDA will get thumping majority in Bihar Assembly polls. He further said that PM Narendra Modi launches development schemes keeping in mind the interest of the poor, backward, and the extremely backward people.
