Araria : A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau team on April 15, 2018, arrested Niranjan Sharma, a senior Executive Magistrate, cum Deputy collector attached to the office of SDO , Araria, in Araria district, allegedly while accepting Rs 40,000 as bribe from a litigant Mohammad Usman for doing him favour in a land dispute case. The Vigilance Bureau team was led by DSP Mohammad Zamiruddin Akhtar Ansari. The Vigilence Bureau team took Niranjan Sharma to Patna. Sharma was arrested from his office.
