Motihari : A team of officials of District Prohibition & Excise Department headed by Excise Superintendent Avinash Prakash, on a tip off, stopped a truck laden with Orange on NH-28 near Chakia in East Champaran District in North Bihar, and seized 200 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 30 lakh on January 5, 2021.
According to Excise Superintendent Prakash, the truck was coming from Haryana. One Usman Mian on board truck was arrested and is being quizzed by Police and Excise officials.
The truck driver admitted fearlessly before the Excise Department officials that he was carrying Orange and liquor on his truck from Haryana. The Excise Department officials were surprised by his disclosure. When the truck was searched,whatever the truck driver had said was found true.
