Saharsa : An incident of eve teasing and subsequent firing has triggered tension at village Maria in Bargaon panchayat under Basnahi police station in Saharsa district on March 22, 2017. Although the brother of the school girl had a lucky escape, a cow died in the firing. Some miscreants teased the girl at gun point when she was returing home from her school.
Maria resident Pramod Yadav alias Chhatu alleged that Ashish Kumar, Pankaj Kumar and Prince Kumar teased his daughter at gun point when she was returning home from Middle school, Narhaiya, on March 22 afternoon. She somehow reached home and complained to her brother Nitish about the incident.
Nitish rebuked the three youth but this angered Sudist Yadav, husband of Mukhia Dolly Devi, and he allegedly provoked his nephew Ashish, one of the miscreants, to fire at Nitish. Ashish fired at Nitish but the bullet hit a cow which died. Pramod has lodged a complaint with Basnahi police station in this connection demanding action against the accused. SHO, Basnahi police station, Manish Kumar Rajak, said he would take appropriate action.
