Patna : England won the Women’s Cricket World Cup for the fourth time defeating India by 9 runsĀ  in the final played at Lords on July 23, 2017. England, batting first, made 228. The Indian team was cruising along well but once Poonam Raut was out after scoring 86 runs, the remaining wickets fell in a heap and the team folded up at 219. Harmanprit Kaur was out for 51 while Veda Krishnamurthy scored a brisk 35. Mithali Raj was run for 17 only.
