Patna : England beat New Zealand (NZ) by 76 runs in the 4th T20I at McLean Park, Napier, New Zealand, on November 8, 2019, to level the five-match series 2-2. Dawid Malan was declared Player of the Match for scoring an unbeaten 103 in 51 balls with 9 fours and 6 sixes. England captain Eoin Morgan scored 91 in 41 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes. NZ had won the toss but opted to bowl.

Batting first, England scored 241/3 in 20 overs. Opener Jonny Bairstow fell to spinner Mitchell Santner for 8 making it 16/1 while his opening partner Tom Banton fell to Santner for 31 making it 58/2. Morgan fell to pacer Tim Southee ( captain) for 91 and it was 240/3. Morgan and Malan added 182 runs for the third wicket.

In reply, NZ were all out for 165 in 16.5 overs with openers Martin Guptil and Colin Munro scoring 27 and 30 runs respectively. Captain Tim Southee scored 39 in 15 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes. Colin de Grandhomme fell to Matthew Parkinson for 7 while Ross Taylor fell Patrick Brown for 14. Tim Seifert (wk) fell Chris Jordan for 3 while Mitchell Santner fell to Sam Curran for 10. Trent Boult fell to Chris Jordan for 8. Ish Sodhi was run out for 9.

For England, 23 year old spinner Matthew Parkinson took 4/47 in 4 overs while Chris Jordan took 2/24 in 2.5 overs. Sam Curran, Tom Curran, and Patrick Brown took one wicket each.
