Patna : England were all out for 391 in 128 oversĀ  in their first innings just before close of the play on Day 3 in 2nd test against India at Lord’s, London, as captain Joe Root scored a brilliant unbeaten 180 runs in 321 balls hitting 18 fours, his 22nd test century, second century in successive tests, while Jonny Bairstow scored 57 runs in 107 balls with 7 fours, Root and Bairstow added 121 runs for the 4th wicket. England took a first innings lead of 27 runs.

For India, Mohad Siraj took 4/94 in 30 overs while Ishant Sharma took 3/69 in 24 overs. Mohd Shami took 2/95 in 26 overs. England fast bowler Mark Wood was run out for 5.
