Patna : England were 325/4 in their second innings at stumps on day 3 in the 3rd test against West Indies (WI) at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia, on February 11, 2019, with captain Joe Root unbeaten on 111 in 209 balls with 9 fours, his 16th test century, and all-rounder Ben Stokes batting on 29 in 59 balls with 2 fours. Root and Stokes have added 71 runs so far for the 5th wicket.

England, who had scored 277 in their first innings, lead by 448 runs and are in a commanding position. West Indies were all out for 154 in their first innings.

Root also added 107 runs with Jos Buttler for the 4th wicket. Buttler fell to fast bowler Kemar Roach for 56 in 115 balls with 5 fours. He also added 74 runs with Joe Denly for the 3rd wicket. Denly fell to fast bowler Shannon Gabriel for 69 in 99 balls with 11 fours. Openers Rory Burns and Keaton Jennings scored 10 and 29 runs respectively.
