Patna :  England were 313/8 in 91 overs at stumps on Day 3 in their second innings in the 5th Ashes Test against Australia at Kennington Oval, London, with spinner Jack Leach and fast bowler Jofra Archer unbeaten on 5 and 3 runs respectively. England are leading by 382 runs with 2 wickets in hand.

Opener Rory Burns scored 94 in 206 balls with 14 fours and a six while all-rounder Ben Stokes scored in 115 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Burns and Stokes added 127 runs for the 3rd wicket. Jos Buttler made 47 in 63 balls with 6 fours. Burns fell to Peter Sidddle, who also accounted for Buttler. Jonny Bairstow fell to Mitchell Marsh for 14 while Sam Curran fell to Pat Cummins for 17. Chris Woakes fell to Marsh for 6.

For Australia, spinner Nathan Lyon took 3/65 while Peter Siddle and Mitchell Marsh took two wickets each. Pat Cummins took 1/55.

England had scored 294 in their first innings while Australia were all out for 225 in their first innings.
