Patna : Replying to Pakistan’s 340/7 in 50 overs, England were 206/2 after 28 overs in the 4th ODI at Trent Bridge, Notingham, UK, on May 17, 2019, late night. England had won the toss but opted to bowl. Opener Jason Roy scored 114 in 89 balls with 11 fours and 4 sixes while Joe Root was batting on 34 with 3 fours. Opener Jame Vince fell to Mohammad Hasnain for 43 with 6 fours. Roy also fell to Hasnain. Roy and Vince added 94 runs for the first wicket. Roy and  Root added 107 runs for the 2nd wicket.England lead the five-match ODI series 2-0.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 340/7 with Babar Azam scoring 115 in 112 balls hitting 13 fours and a six while Mohammad Hafeez scored 59 in 55 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes. Opener Fakhar Zaman made 57 in 50 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes  while Shoaib Malik made 41 in 26 balls with 4 fours. Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed (wk) remained unbeaten ion 21 in 14 balls with 3 fours.

For England, Tom Curran took 4/75 in 10 overs while Mark Wood took 2/71 in 10 overs. Jofra Archer took 1/62 in 10 overs.
