Patna : England were 193/8 in 84.1 overs in their second innings at tea on Day 5 in 4th test against India staring at a humiliating defeat at Kennington Oval, London, UK. England are trailing by 175 runs with only two wickets in hand.
Resuming at their overnight score of 77/0, England progressed to 100/0 but then collapsed to be 193/8 with Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, and Ravindra Jadeja taking two wickets each and Umesh Yadav taking 1 wicket. Dawid Malan was run out.
Openers Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns scored 63 and 50 runs respectively while captain Joe Root scored 36 runs. Burns and Root fell to Shardul Thakur. while Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow (wk) fell to Bumrah. Hameed and Moeen Ali fell to Jadeja. Chris Woakes fell to Umesh Yadav.
