Patna : England were 111/2 in 43 overs at stumps on Day 2 in their first innings in 1st test against New Zealand (NZ) at Lord’s, London, on June 3, 2021, night, with opener Rory Burns unbeaten on 59 in 134 balls with 8 fours and captain Joe Root batting on 42 in 112 balls hitting 5 fours.

Earlier, resuming at their overnight score of 246/3, NZ were all out for 378 in 122.4 overs in their first innings on Day 2 with opener Devon Conway scoring 200 (run out)  in 347 balls hitting 22 fours and 1 six, a double century on debut. England fast medium bowler Ollie Robinson took 4/75 while fast bowler Mark Wood took 3/ 81. Wood bowled a terrific spell on Day 2.
