Patna : England crushed Australia by 242 runs in the 3rd ODI at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, UK, on June 19, 2018, late night, to take an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the 5-match series, with spinners Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali taking 4/47 and 3/28 wickets respectively. Fast medium bowler David Willey, 28, took 2/56.
Asked to bat first by Australia who won the toss, England amassed a record men’s ODO total of 481/6 in 50 overs riding on brilliant centuries by opener Jonny Bairstow and Alex Hales and 82 and 67 runs respectively by opener Jason Roy and captain Eoin Morgan.
In reply, Australia were all out for 239 in 37 overs with opener Tavis Head scoring 51, allrounder Marcus Stoinis 44 ( run out), Ashton Agar 25, Shaun March 24, Aaron Finch 20, and Glen Maxwell 19.
