Patna : England, who had won the FIFA World Cup in 1966, defeated Tunisia 2-1 in a Group G match of the World Cup on June 18, 2018, late night, at Volgograd Area, Russia. Volgograd is an industrial city of Russia on the western bank of river Volga. The score was 1-1 at half-time.

For England, striker Haryy Kane, 24, scored both the goals while midfielder Ferjani Sassi, 26, scored the loan goal for Tunisia through penalty. England are making their 15th appearance in the World Cup while Tunisia are making their 5th appearance.

Kane scored the two goals for England in the 11th and 91st minutes while Sassi scored for Tunisia in the 35th minute.
