Patna : England were 64/2 after 154.2 overs in their first innings against India in second session of the play on the second day the third cricket test at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, UK, on August 19, 2018, with both the openrs Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings getting out soon after the lunch. Cook fell to Ishant Sharma for 29 while Jennings got out for 20 to Jasprit Bumrah. Cook and Jennings were involved in 54 run partnership for the first wicket. England were 46/0 at lunch. Captain Joe Root is yet to score while Ollie Pope is batting on 10.

Earlier, India resumings at their overnight score of 307/6 were all out for 329. For England, pacers James Anderson, Stuart Broad, and Chris Woakes took three wickets each. Spinner Adil Rashid took one wicket.
