Elderly person stabbed to death & grandson injured at Bhojpur village

Ara : One person was stabbed to death and another injured at village Chhotaki Sahjauli under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district on August 3, 2019.

Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. The deceased was identified as Hridyanand Yadav, 60, while the injured was identified as his grandson Manish Yadav. Family dispute is said to be the reason behind the incident.

A named FIR was lodged by Shahpur police station against Ram Bachan Yadav, nephew of the deceased,on the statement of his son Jitendra Yadav. Police arrested Ram Bachan Yadav and sent him to jail. Police are investigating into the matter.

SHO, Shahpur police station, Deep Narayan Singh said that Ram Bachan Yadav stabbed his uncle Hridyanand Yadav to death in the wee hour on August 3, 2019, when his was sleeping, and when his grandson came to his rescue, he also stabbed and injured him.
