Ara : An elderly person committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of his house on February 12, 2021, early morning, at village Mohammadpur under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur District.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Th reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. The deceased was identified as Hari Prasad Sharma, a carpenter and father of two armymen.
Chandrakshekhar, son of the deceased, said that his father was mentally unhealthy for the last several months. He committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of the house when all the members had gone out on work. He is survived by his wife Radhika Devi, two sons : Subhash and Chandrashekhar, and two daughters: Anju and Soni.
