Motihari :   The  East Champaran  District Administration  has made  elaborate arrangement  for counting of votes  of 12 assembly constituencies (AC) on  November 10, 2020. The counting will be done on Munsi Singh College, Laxmi Narayan Dubey College, and Zila School  centres. Prohibitory orders have been imposed in and around the counting centres to prevent gathering of people.

East Champaran DM cum District Election Officer Shirshat Kapil Ashok, said that the arrangements for counting  of votes have been  made as per the direction of the Election Commission of India (ECI)  and Covid-19 protocol.
Altogether 700  employees would be deployed in counting works at the three counting centres. They would be deployed at these centres
carrying their identity cards signed by the Retuning officers. Three  senior officials of the district have been deputed at the three counting
centres with para military forces to maintain law and order.

The DM said that the counting of votes would start at 8 am and  no one including counting agents of candidates would be allowed to carry cellphones at the counting centres. The CCTV cameras have been installed at all the three strongrooms where the EVM machines are
stored. The  Munsi Singh College  strongroom is biggest one where EVMs of  7 ACs have been stored.  The  counting of votes of  Motihari,  Raxaul, Harsidhi, Gobindganj, Madhuban, Sugauli, and ,Narkatiya  constituencies would be taken up at this centre. The counting of votes of  Kesariya, Kalyanpur, and  Pipra constituencies would be done  at LND college  while  the votes of Chiraiya and Dhaka constituencies  would be done at  Zila School.
