Patna : Bihar Government on June 8, 2018, suspended DSP, City, Patna, S A Hashmi, for dereliction of duty, moral turpitude, suspicious conduct, and indiscipline. Hashmi had allegedly sought sexual favour from a girl, an audio clip of which surfaced on June 2, 2018. The Home (police) Department issued a notification regarding Hashmi’s supension on June 8.
DGP K S Dwivedi had recommended for Hashmi’s suspension after DIG, Central Range, Rajesh Kumar, in his priliminary inquiry report, found allegations against him true. A department inquiry is also being initiated against Hashmi.
