Motihari  : An incident of drunken brawl at Sundarpatti Middle School Quarantine Centre under Pakaridayal  Police Station East Champaran District in North Bihar has left police completely nonplussed even as the district has been witnessing protest and road blockade over alleged lack of facilities at different quarantine centres.

Sunil Kumar, a man under quarantine at Sundarpatti Middle School Quarantine Centre, was admitted to Pakaridayal Sub-Divisional Hospital on May 19, 2020, night, with his leg fractured in an attack by Arjun Sah, who supplied liquor to some boozers including Ram Ayodhya Sah, his father who is also under quarantine at the centre.

SDPO, Pakridayal, Dinesh Kumar Pandey, said a case has been lodged against Arjun Sah, his father Ram Ayodhya Sah, and
three other inmates of Sundarpatti Middle School Quarantine Centre. Police have seized a motorcycle allegedly belonging to Arjun Sah.

Sunil  Kumar said that he, Ram Ayodhya Sah, and four others are native of village Koral, 2 km away away from Pakaridayal. They were put under quarantine here last week on  their return from Delhi as migrant workers. Arjun Sah started visiting this centre allegedly to supply liquor there with the support of his quarantined father Ram Ayodhya Sah.  Sunil Kumar,  on May 19 night, objected to it after which they attacked him in which he he suffered leg fracture.

Police are probing into the incident and disciplinary action is likely to be taken  against some  officers on duty at Sundarpatti Middle School Quarantine Centre.
