Muzaffarpur: Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) teams from Patna and Muzaffarpur, in a joint operation, seized 1,500 kg Ganja worth Rs 60 lakh in international market from a vehicle on NH 57 on Wednesday. Although the driver of the vehicle managed to escape, the DRI sleuths arrested another occupant of the vehicle Vishal.

Vishal was on  bringing the Ganja  from Nagaland and was going to Nagaland when the vehicle bearing registration number of Haryana was stopped by DRI sleuths stopped it on NH 57 in Muzaffarpur district on a secret information. The DRI officials were interrogating Vishal.It was the biggest seizure of Ganja in recent years.

On October 2, 2016, 500 kg Ganja was seized from a vehicle on NH57 at toll plaza. The DRI team had also seized 834 kg Ganja on NH57 on August 25, 2016.
