Chas (Jharkhasnd) : Stepping on the golden ladder of success in its very first appearance, DPS Chas in Bokaro District created history as 15 out of 17 students of its first batch got first division marks at the CBSE Class X examinations – the topper being Rahul Kumar with 94.4% marks. The other toppers of the school are : Sriejan Sinha with 93.8%, Rahul Raj Baskey with 92%, Ayush Murmu with 91.2%, and Akshat Suman with 91%.
School topper Rahul Kumar said, “He is grateful to the school and his teachers for their blessings and inpiration. He aspires to become a doctor.”
Dr Hemlata S Mohan, Chief Mentor of the school, said, “ It is an achievement and the journey has begun. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure these students dream big and achieve high. She added that excellence isn’t a skill, it’s an attitude. Students must keep doing good work and continue to strive for higher excellence.”
The Officiating Principal Shailaja Jayakumar said, “The results of the students are a reflection of the persistent efforts put in by the students, teachers, parents and the school. “
The school aims to contribute to the all-round development of the child where a child is able to become a role model in the society. Meritorious students can get up to 100% tuition fee waiver. The students with special achievements in co-scholastic areas can also avail scholarships as per the terms. DPS Chas was the first school to start online classes from the month of April itself. The school is all geared up to start the online classes for Class XI.
