DPS Bokaro students observe ‘World Peace Day’

Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : ‘World Peace Day’ was observed by the students of DPS Bokaro who carried a March Past on the school campus pleading for peace waving colourful paper flags and balloons marking them as symbols of peace. Students, teachers and staffs of the school convened a special assembly on this occasion which started with the song “Hindu Muslim Sikh Isai Ek Maa Ki Santaan Hai…” followed by a pledge for peace on earth.

On this occasion,the students shared their own views on peace and kindness trying to prove why peace was necessary for survival of human being. Later, the students lined up for a Peace Rally with banners and posters prepared by them to share the message of ‘Peace and Prosperity’ and universal values of ethics and discipline for mankind.

Director & Principal DPS Bokaro Dr Hemlata S Mohan, in her message, said that peace is the only solution for the welfare of human being and everyone should play a role in achieving this goal. Addressing the students, Vice Principal P Shailaja Jay Kumar said that Peace Day is marked every year to sensitise the children telling them about the sufferings of war and its impact on humankind and how peace can be a stronger weapon than war.
