Bokaro (Jharkhand) : Thirteen students of DPS Bokaro, Jharkhand, accomplished a historical performance at the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)- 2020-21 by securing International Rank 1 and  2 under various categories of Classes I to XII, the results of which were declared on April 4, 2021, evening ,by Science Olympiad Foundation(SOF), New Delhi.

Eight students including Jigyasa Raj of Class II, Roshandeep Prakash, Aarna Bharadwaj, Aaheli Mahato, Shaurya, Shambhavi Anand  of Class IV, Kunal Anand of Class VI, and Aditya Ratna Jha of Class VIII secured the International Rank 1 while five students including Aarifah Fatha of Class II, Anwita Yadav of Class IV, Yanvi Barnwal of Class V, Nirwan of Class VI, and Kumar Anmol of Class VII secured the International Rank 2.

The International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is a Maths competition for students of class I – XII. It is conducted by SOF with the aim of identifying and nurturing future scientists, technologists, and IT talent at school level.

An elated, Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, said, “It is a matter of pride for all of us to have got such a remarkable result at the IMO. The hard work of the students and the teachers have paid off the best results. I wish the students all the best for the future.”
