Bokaro (Jharkhand) : Commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, DPS Bokaro celebrated Teachers’ Day to acknowledge  the contribution of the teachers to the society. The programme started with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony. The school then  paid  tribute to the great teacher cum philosopher Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India.

The cultural fiesta commenced with a melodious Guru Vandana followed by an orchestral performance by the children expressing their gratitude to their teachers and a dance performance on Ganesh Vandana.

‘Pratibimb’, a fusion dance by the students, accompanied by their teacher Nirmalya Sharma stole the show wonderfully displaying how the students are a reflection of their teachers.

In the Primary wing, the students presented an enthralling cultural programme which included Guru Vandana and Group Dance in honour of teachers remembering the second President of the country Dr S Radhakrishnan. The representatives of the parent association felicitated the Principal and few teachers for their contribution in creating global leaders.

Speaking on the occasion,n Principal,  DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, said, ” Being a teacher is a privilege. Teachers inspire and motivate the young minds to dream big and soar high yet hold on to the essential humanitarian values.” Teachers are the bridge who facilitate the successful walk of the students from darkness to light, he said.
