Bokaro: ( Jharkhand) : The special occasion of Children’s Day ushered in a rare jewel to the glorious crown of DPS Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand, with two of its budding talents : Anuj and Aditya Mishra of Class VIII, securing third position at the Grand Finale of the ninth edition of the National Inter School CBSE Cryptic Crossword Contest (CCCC 9.0) held on November 14, 2021, in virtual mode. Team DPS Pune lifted the champions’ trophy while Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Hyderabad, bagged the second position.
The results were declared after a rigorous two- day Grand Finale which started on November 13, 2021. This was world’s biggest school crossword contest which saw an overwhelming participation of 10,326 school teams from across 378 cities and 33 States and Union Territories. A total of 72 teams qualified for the Quarter Finals and only 24 teams qualified for the Semi Finals. Only 8 teams could make it to the Finals after a challenging contest.
The achievement etched the names of the two students in the history of the institution. Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, was enthralled by the achievement of the little champions. He bestowed his blessings on them and said, “Our attitude determines the altitude of achievement, so we must always be positive and work persistently to achieve our goal.”
