Bokaro (Jharkhand) : The UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2019 results have opened up yet another glorious chapter of DPS Bokaro with its alumni Divya Shakti securing 79th rank and Abhishek Kumar Garg securing 456th rank at this coveted examination by their grit, determination and perseverance. The results were declared on August 4, 2020.
Divya Shakti (2010 batch), who hails from Bettiah, West Champaran, Bihar, completed her B.Tech (Computer Science) & M.Sc (Economics) in an integrated programme at BITS Pilani and later joined JP Morgan. Her father Dr D K Singh is a retired Medical Superintendent and Professor while her mother is a homemaker.
Divya while talking to a school teacher recalled her short but memorable stay and said, “I came to DPS Bokaro for my 10+2 and was placed in a very competitive environment which helped me gain the confidence to aspire for more.” She said that the school has excellent teachers who hone the budding talents to achieve their best in life.
Abhishek Kumar Garg (2013 batch) said that the school ensures a peaceful environment for study that helps the students achieve their goals. He said that the ‘Home Room’ periods were of immense help wherein our Class Teacher would motivate us for various career options including the Civil Services. Thanking the school for the great ambience, he remarked, “The teachers taught us discipline and being in a peer group of the sharpest ones taught us healthy competition.”
Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S. Gangwar, expressed his happiness on the glorious achievement of the students. He congratulated them and said, “I am confident that they will turn out to be youth icons and will serve the society selflessly. I send them my blessings and wish them the very best. “
It may be mentioned here that for the last few years, students of DPS Bokaro have been proving their mettle at this coveted examination. To name a few, Aman Kumar, Rohan Kumar Jha, Ravi Kumar, Ajay Prakash, Rahul Kumar Sinha, Chandra Mohan Thakur, Saagar Srivastava, Manish Vijay, Nitish Kumar Singh, Kumar Gaurav, Riya Kejriwal, Anil Kumar, Shashi Prakash Singh, Abhilasha Abhinav, Abhilash Baranwal, Sameer Kishan, and Jai Kishan have made their mark at this prestigious examination.
