Muzaffarpur : A senior officer of Bihar Education Service and District Programme Officer (DPO), Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Muzaffarpur, Nita Pandey has been suspended for alleged financial irregularities amounting to Rs 1.25 crore. Director ( administration) cum Additional Secretary, Education Department, on March 27, 2017, issued orders regarding suspension of DPO, SSA, Muzaffarpur, according to District Education Officer (DEO), Muzaffarpur.
DM Dharmendra Singh and SDO, West, Muzaffarpur, Ranjeeta, had recommended for action against her to the government. DPO Nita Pandey has been charged with making payment of salary worth Rs 1.25 crore to school teachers appointed on the basis of fake Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) pass certificate without maintaining their service book. The education department suspended Pandey after holding an inquiry into charges against her.
